Welcome to the FREE Westport Music Festival for the second year running,  after the success of  last years music festival with over 50,000 people in attendance, we are pleased to invite you to this years festival.  This year we are expecting an even larger crowd.  We have a great line up musicians from both the national and local scenes of music.  This year we are placing the MAIN stage in the Carrowbeg river over looking the Fairgreen.  This years headline act Smokie are playing their only 2007 Irish gig here in Westport.

With other events taking place throughout the week, the main stage starts at 8.00 pm.  Besides the music, Westport also offers tourist attractions including, Westport House, beautiful beaches and market stalls.  Thousands of tourist from around the world travel to Westport to view the local scenery after winning the Tidy Towns twice, participate in the pilgrimage walk and travel along the Atlantic Drive.

The Westport music festival is completely free and family orientated.  The only way we raise money for the week of fantastic music is by donations from the public.  We have 5 nights of music with a finale of fireworks on the last evening of the festival.  During the afternoon we have a second stage (the gig rig stage) featuring local bands.  There are many other activities happening throughout the days of the music festival including street shows, face painting, market stalls, arts and crafts and many, many more....
